I lucked out and found a local clinic on a lunch stop yesterday and was diagnosed with bronchitis. I got some antibiotics and some cough syrup so I am on the mend! I am already starting to feel a little peppier! Due to the high winds from the tail of the hurricanes in the US, we were unable to visit the Cliffs of Moher because they actually closed. Apparently, the caretaker was thrown to the ground on several occassions by the wind! Although understandable, it was still a disappointment.
My favorites have been Rathbun Farm where we got to see a sheep herding demonstration and a wool shearing demonstration. The sweet little sheep dog, Ted, was just a pup and not yet very good at his job. Very entertaining though! Also, we visited Kylemore Abbey which was gorgeous and little more what I had in mind when picturing Ireland.
Last night I was excited for music in the small ballroom of the hotel. Unfortunately, it was a complete bust with lots of old ladies dancing together and the music was terrible! We did have a few laughs so all in all it was fun.
Today we visited a tweed factory and Belleek Pottery. Both interesting and potentially expensive stops.
Glad to see that you're feeling better. The story of the old ladies dancing in the hotel lobby reminds me of our girls' trip to the Irish Cottage in Galena. :)
