I Heart Germany!

My apologies for not blogging for awhile.  This is for a couple of reasons - free internet service has been few and far between in Germany and I have been having a fabulous time!  You know - enjoying my time instead of just writing about the sights!

The weather has been nothing less than amazing this trip.  The sights have been interesting and the scenery is beautiful!  I really love this part of Europe.  I have met some really nice people both on the trip and some locals.  I met my German boyfriend but will post on that later when I have a chance to sort through my pictures.

The highlights have been Oktoberfest and Bavaria.  Oktoberfest was super fun and very entertaining.  It's like a portable Las Vegas in the middle of Munich!  We went into 2 different tents sat with a very wild group to begin with.  I actually drank two big steins of beer.  Very fun and I am so glad I took the time to go.

I found a really pretty ring at a street market and got a little tipsy in the afternoon drinking with some German boys.

All in all - it's been a great trip and I am sad to leave Germany already.  I think I will be coming back at some point.  My tour director, Mirella, has been amazing and our driver, Massimo, was fabulous.  I even got to have a little dance with Massimo at one of our dinners.

I have a few free days in Frankfurt but have some general plans.  I am going to Baden-Baden tomorrow to go to a Roman bath.  I also need a haircut so that will be the day after tomorrow.  Then I am headed back to Berlin for the next tour of Eastern Europe.  That will be nice since I ended up not feeling well during our free day in Berlin last time.

Hope all is well with you!  Take care until next time!

  2. Hey Megan - Just read some of your blogs. Sounds like you're having a blast despite the bronchitis :-) Berlin is my favorite city in the whole world based on the travelling I've done to date. If our last child was a girl, I had even convinced my wife to name her "Berlin". But alas, we had a boy :-) Thanks for the cool posts!!
