How about a little trip talk?

Ok, enough with the waxing philosophical posts.  I remember a few years ago when I went to Italy with 5 other girls.  At the end of the trip, they were all ready to go home.  I wasn’t.  I said I could go to a laundry mat and keep on going.  And guess what?  That’s exactly what I am going to do this fall!  Can’t wait! 

Some of you are probably wondering about my itinerary.    Well here it is with some detail:

·         Scenic Ireland (Globus Tour) – September 4-September 17

·         London – On My Own - September 17-September 21

·         German Highlights (Globus Tour)– September 21-October 3

·         Best of Eastern Europe (Globus Tour) – October 3-October 16

·         Zurich - On My Own – October 16-October 19

·         Highlights of Greece & Turkey Cruise (Trafalgar Tour) - October 19-October 29

·         Southern Italy - On My Own – October 29-November 4

·         Essential China (Gap Adventures Tour) – November 4-November 26

I originally wanted to travel for 6 months but that isn’t fiscally possible.  I went into this planning also to go to Spain, Portugal, Dubai & India, on an in depth tour around Switzerland, the Netherlands  and wrap up with a nice long Caribbean cruise.  Pipe dream – I know!

As I started to figure out finances and dates of tours, my list started slowly dwindling.  I also realized that it was more responsible for me to travel for 3 months instead of 6 and have 6 months of financial cushion when I got home.  See, I am not completely irresponsible and crazy! =) 

I had already planned on going to Ireland this fall and China next spring.  I just decided to do it all at once and throw a few other countries in between.
