Well, it's officially the month before I leave. It still seems so far away and like it really isn't happening. There is still so much to do and enjoy between now and then. The next few weeks are filled with scrapbooking, visiting friends and MORE packing. The movers come on August 27th and then KC and I will be at my parents' house the final week before I leave.
Oh yeah, for those of you who don't know - KC is back home with me. In the end, it's the best thing for both of us but we both have a lot of work to do to get her ready for Chicago. BarkBusters are coming on August 12th to work with us on her separation anxiety and a score of other bad habits she/we have. She will be staying with my parents for part of the time and in boarding at the Bark Zone while I am travelling. It's not ideal but it's the best option for the situation. Joey at the Bark Zone is amazing and I know KC will be in the best hands while not with family.
The garage sale and craig's list sales went very well and I reached my earnings goal and got rid of all the high dollar items like I wanted. There are a few more things to sell on craig's list and then it's a complete focus on packing. It feels really good to be purging all the old stuff I haven't touched in years and only taking the stuff I use with me. Although its been kind of a pain, I am glad to be purging and packing now or I would be worried about it the whole time I was gone.
Preparations to rent my place are currently on hold until my representative gets back from vacation. This makes me a little nervous but I am hopeful she will get right back on it when she returns next week. All the paperwork is in place and now we just need to get the place showable despite all the boxes and packing material. That is going to be a bigger job than it sounds! Ugh!
